The Reflective Tube of Sun Tunnel

Here is a picture of the tube. The tube is assembled and being slide into place from the roof. This technology is what cuts down on installation time and the dirt and noise that are necessary with the installation of customary skylights.

Most of the installation time is on the roof and in your attic. 1/2 hour is spent in the actual room, the sun tunnel is illluminating. The amount of dirt made inside the house, will fit in a coffee cup.

As compared to traditional skylights which need larger openings. Because of this framing an opening is necessary. Then you need to install drywall. the next step is to spackle and paint the drywall. Then trim molding must be installed. The trim can be either stained or painted. This all takes time and makes more dirt inside your home.

The tunnel itself is highly reflective. The suns rays bounce off the inside of the  sun tube, descending into your room. There is a diffused lens on your ceiling. This lens lets the light in but not the heat and damaging effects of the suns UV rays.  The lens also spreads the light around the room.
